2021 Program Notes (PLEASE READ):
- We are always seeking coaches at all levels. Please contact us at bnwarriors@gmail.com if you are able to help coach.
- US Lacrosse membership is required to participate. The US Lacrosse membership fee is not included in the Warriors registration fees. Registrants will be prompted to confirm status with US Lacrosse in the registration process and have an opportunity to purchase or renew their membership.
US Lacrosse Registration: All players must be or become members of US Lacrosse in order to play. US Lacrosse membership costs vary by age from $30-$40 for 1 year and provides supplementary medical insurance coverage to all our players. You will also receive a subscription to Lacrosse Magazine. If you are not currently a member or your membership will expire during the season you will be prompted to enroll you as a member or renew your membership during our registration process. The cost of membership is in addition to our registration fees below.
Registration Fees: Warriors Lacrosse is a 501(c)(3) corporation. Registration fees cover costs related to field use and maintenance, equipment, referees fees, League Fees, Tournaments, Washington Invitational, and administrative expenses. All players receive a reversible jersey and shorts (new style), 24 practices, 10-12 games, field rentals, year-end celebration, and tons of fun and excitement!
Fee Assistance: Warriors Lacrosse is committed to encouraging participation of young people in the sport of lacrosse, regardless of financial means. Fee assistance is available for players. Please contact bnwarriors@gmail to ensure eligibility.
Equipment: Every player must have the proper lacrosse equipment. Either purchased themselves, or rented from the club.
Girls: Lacrosse Stick, goggles and mouthpiece
Boys: Helmet, Shoulder Pads, Arm Pads, Gloves, Lacrosse Stick, Mouthpiece, and Protective Athletic Cup
Note: The Warriors Helmet Color is White, please buy a white helmet if possible.
Rental Equipment: Warriors Lacrosse will have a limited supply of boys and girls equipment available. You can rent equipment through the registration process.
Season Schedule: Practices begin April 5th, games will begin April 17th, and culminate with the post-season in the beginning of June. All team games and practice schedules will be published on the Warriors web site Calendar and on each team's individual calendar under the Teams section. You may subscribe to the calendars to sync them with your personal calendar.
Fundraising: Warriors Lacrosse raises funds by selling car decals, t-shirts, fleece pullovers, sweatshirts, polo shirts, and hats with the Warriors logo. Please support your Club and spread the word by buying team spirit wear! Donations to the Warriors Lacrosse Club are tax deductible; we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ID# 45-4342846.o
Volunteer Help/Buyout Option: Warriors Lacrosse requires an army of volunteers! Every family must commit to volunteer up to 4 hours over the course of the season. We encourage you to take part in our volunteer buyout option of $80 per family for those who cannot commit to the time commitment of a volunteer position. Families which fail to do their volunteer work during the course of the season may be charged this buyout fee at the end of the season.
New Coaches and Assistant Coaches Needed! We are making a plea to all new or current parents (coaching experience from other sports is preferred but not required, and especially seeking those of you with lacrosse experience) with kids that are playing this year: Please consider volunteering to be an assistant coach. We will teach you the game and hopefully in a year or two you can be ready to take over a team of your own. We will provide coaching clinics, assistance and whatever else is needed to have a successful season. The Warriors are committed to the development of our volunteer coaches. All coaches will receive a reimbursement towards the cost of getting their level 1 certification and US Lacrosse membership.
